- it makes me feel good inside & out
- it quiets my mind
- i like its simplicity and grace
- it makes me feel strong
- it challenges me (both mind & body)
- stretching feels goooood
- i <3 it
- it connects me to my body
- i stand up straighter
- it kicks my butt (sometimes)
- i have more poise & balance
- it works my entire body
- it strengthens and tones my muscles more than anything i've ever done
- it's all about practice not perfection
- it's just for me : )

so, what do you do that's just for you? have you ever tried yoga???
i love yoga so much. my favorite workout, especially during times of stress :)
ReplyDeleteI did Yoga X with the P90X series... that stuff sucks... so I've never tried just Yoga but I can't say I'm in the mood too either. The other had me literally in tears. it hurt my wrists in upward dog and those positions :(
ReplyDeleteYoga is really mentally challenging for me. I like contact sports! I fell in love with Vinyasa yoga - because it gets a good sweat going!
ReplyDeleteI try and get to at least one hot yoga class a month, with my schedule it's hard but I know it's good for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat do I do just for me? the gym. i run, I stretch, i lift weights. It's my zen area. :)
What a pretty post. Yellow is my favorite color. I took advantage of a Living Social deal on some hot yoga classes and I absolutely loved them. Pricey, pricey, pricey but really awesome.
ReplyDeleteooo i NEED to yoga! you just inspired me to do my 40min dvd this afternoon! thanks lady, and happy friday! xoxo jcd:: cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI've never taken a Yoga class, but after your post I'm thinking I really need to try one. I think I would love being "centered" - I'm going to look up a class in my city now ;) Thanks for the post and have a great weekend!

I've wanted to start yoga again. It's a great way to exercise, stretch, and relax at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI love it so much! I have only started really getting into it about 2 years ago. It has really changed how I feel. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cailen! Stopping by and following now! You had me at "yoga"! I started doing yoga two years ago, and it's been SUCH a wonderful exercise practice for me. Namaste!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to get into yoga and never seem to find the time. You are inspiring me.
ReplyDeletei have never tried yoga...
ReplyDeleteyoga is great! I usually do it once a week for 1.5 hours. It's really good for excercise as well as clearing your mind of all the stressful thing. I also run 2 miles every day from monday to thursday. friday is my day off from working out. and sometimes I notice that on fridays I miss working out.
ReplyDeletegreat blog!!

ReplyDeleteI love yoga. I find that it centers me after a long day at work. Plus the stretching feels great after sitting in an office chair all day and I find that the regulating of my breathing calms me and clears my mind. Yeah yoga!
ReplyDeleteyou know, I have NEVER tried yoga before. But I'm sure I would love it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite workout is doing pilates.. it makes me feel better than anything else does.
